Narrative:
Air carrier X CSD check valve for magnetic chip detector failed on #2 engine on flight from ZZZ1 to ZZZ. I, along with another mechanic, replaced the CSD and the oil cooler. We also removed the generator and reinstalled it. After the aircraft departed later that night, I thought maybe I or my partner had forgotten to safety wire the qad ring on the CSD. I called line maintenance control and informed them of this. They had the situation addressed and no incident occurred as a result of the qad ring not being safety wired.
