Narrative:
Air carrier X was 1 of 4 aircraft at FL350 that were vectored for traffic. Air carrier Z and air carrier U were on swap rtes to ord. These 3 aircraft were vectored to miss air carrier V. There was some confusion about the routing to ord. Air carrier U needed to be given a different route. Air carrier Y was sebound at FL330. Air carrier X was descended to FL330 as per operating procedures for mdw arrs. He was also cleared on course to iiu. The next clearance was to issue the rerte to air carrier U. At that time, conflict alert was activated. Air carrier X was turned 25 degrees left. Air carrier Y was turned 20 degrees left. Separation was lost. Air carrier Y was overlooked as traffic at the time air carrier X was descended.

Narrative: ACR X WAS 1 OF 4 ACFT AT FL350 THAT WERE VECTORED FOR TFC. ACR Z AND ACR U WERE ON SWAP RTES TO ORD. THESE 3 ACFT WERE VECTORED TO MISS ACR V. THERE WAS SOME CONFUSION ABOUT THE ROUTING TO ORD. ACR U NEEDED TO BE GIVEN A DIFFERENT RTE. ACR Y WAS SEBOUND AT FL330. ACR X WAS DSNDED TO FL330 AS PER OPERATING PROCS FOR MDW ARRS. HE WAS ALSO CLRED ON COURSE TO IIU. THE NEXT CLRNC WAS TO ISSUE THE RERTE TO ACR U. AT THAT TIME, CONFLICT ALERT WAS ACTIVATED. ACR X WAS TURNED 25 DEGS L. ACR Y WAS TURNED 20 DEGS L. SEPARATION WAS LOST. ACR Y WAS OVERLOOKED AS TFC AT THE TIME ACR X WAS DSNDED.
