Narrative:
Departed ZZZ, nj, en route for ZZZ1, md. Receiving radar advisories and assumed they would give me vectors around R4001B. I entered R4001B and then ATC advised me to turn left to exit. I executed the turn and left the area. Landed at ZZZ1 and picked up my passenger and returned to ZZZ2. I assumed approach control would vector me around R4001B and a temporary restr area which did not happen. In the future, I should not assume that while in radar contact VFR, that an ATC facility will keep me clear of restr or sua. I will not rely on the controller to vector me around restr airspace.
