Narrative:
After takeoff and after retracting landing gear, got EICAS warning for landing gear lever disagreement. An emergency was declared, flight attendant was briefed, and did an excellent job. Completed appropriate checklists. Returned to jfk for fly-by. Emergency equipment reported gear appeared down, returned for landing. Landing uneventful. Had gear pinned and taxied back to ramp.

Title: EMBRAER 145 JET FLC DECLARED AN EMER AND RETURNED TO LAND DUE TO A LNDG GEAR POS DISAGREEMENT INDICATION AFTER RETRACTING THE LNDG GEAR ON TKOF.
Narrative: AFTER TKOF AND AFTER RETRACTING LNDG GEAR, GOT EICAS WARNING FOR LNDG GEAR LEVER DISAGREEMENT. AN EMER WAS DECLARED, FLT ATTENDANT WAS BRIEFED, AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. COMPLETED APPROPRIATE CHKLISTS. RETURNED TO JFK FOR FLY-BY. EMER EQUIP RPTED GEAR APPEARED DOWN, RETURNED FOR LNDG. LNDG UNEVENTFUL. HAD GEAR PINNED AND TAXIED BACK TO RAMP.
