Narrative:

On aug/thu/02, I rented a C172 from the flight school I instruct with. The flight was for pleasure. I departed 1v5 at about XA45 local time from runway 8 at boulder, and continued my climb on upwind until I reached about 6000 ft MSL before making a turn to the north to make a slow circle in the direction of the mountains (the west). I proceeded to the west for a flight along the foothills. I made 2 passes along the foothills from lyons, co, down to the flatirons and back. When I was about 8 mi to the west of jeffco airport I called the tower and requested to fly in his airspace to overfly downtown denver. The controller granted me passage through his class D airspace. I proceeded to make 4 laps of downtown and headed back in the direction of 1v5, again I called jeffco tower for passages through his airspace. After leaving the class D airspace I was southeast of 1v5 and proceeded to fly a 3 mi final to runway 26. After tying the aircraft down at 1v5 and returning the keys to the aircraft, a man approached as I entered the parking lot. He proceeded to ask if I was flying that night. When I said that I had been, he then accused me of over-flying his home in northeast boulder. When I attempted to explain to him that he had the wrong aircraft, he continued to say that it was me. The next day the same man, who had approached me in the parking lot, the evening before, went to the company that I was renting the C172 from the night before and told the manager of the company and also the airport manager at 1v5 that it had been me and one of the flight school aircraft that did the low flying over his home. I wanted this NASA form to be on file just in case the false accusations from this man make it to the FAA.

Narrative: ON AUG/THU/02, I RENTED A C172 FROM THE FLT SCHOOL I INSTRUCT WITH. THE FLT WAS FOR PLEASURE. I DEPARTED 1V5 AT ABOUT XA45 LCL TIME FROM RWY 8 AT BOULDER, AND CONTINUED MY CLB ON UPWIND UNTIL I REACHED ABOUT 6000 FT MSL BEFORE MAKING A TURN TO THE N TO MAKE A SLOW CIRCLE IN THE DIRECTION OF THE MOUNTAINS (THE W). I PROCEEDED TO THE W FOR A FLT ALONG THE FOOTHILLS. I MADE 2 PASSES ALONG THE FOOTHILLS FROM LYONS, CO, DOWN TO THE FLATIRONS AND BACK. WHEN I WAS ABOUT 8 MI TO THE W OF JEFFCO ARPT I CALLED THE TWR AND REQUESTED TO FLY IN HIS AIRSPACE TO OVERFLY DOWNTOWN DENVER. THE CTLR GRANTED ME PASSAGE THROUGH HIS CLASS D AIRSPACE. I PROCEEDED TO MAKE 4 LAPS OF DOWNTOWN AND HEADED BACK IN THE DIRECTION OF 1V5, AGAIN I CALLED JEFFCO TWR FOR PASSAGES THROUGH HIS AIRSPACE. AFTER LEAVING THE CLASS D AIRSPACE I WAS SE OF 1V5 AND PROCEEDED TO FLY A 3 MI FINAL TO RWY 26. AFTER TYING THE ACFT DOWN AT 1V5 AND RETURNING THE KEYS TO THE ACFT, A MAN APCHED AS I ENTERED THE PARKING LOT. HE PROCEEDED TO ASK IF I WAS FLYING THAT NIGHT. WHEN I SAID THAT I HAD BEEN, HE THEN ACCUSED ME OF OVER-FLYING HIS HOME IN NE BOULDER. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO EXPLAIN TO HIM THAT HE HAD THE WRONG ACFT, HE CONTINUED TO SAY THAT IT WAS ME. THE NEXT DAY THE SAME MAN, WHO HAD APCHED ME IN THE PARKING LOT, THE EVENING BEFORE, WENT TO THE COMPANY THAT I WAS RENTING THE C172 FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE AND TOLD THE MGR OF THE COMPANY AND ALSO THE ARPT MGR AT 1V5 THAT IT HAD BEEN ME AND ONE OF THE FLT SCHOOL ACFT THAT DID THE LOW FLYING OVER HIS HOME. I WANTED THIS NASA FORM TO BE ON FILE JUST IN CASE THE FALSE ACCUSATIONS FROM THIS MAN MAKE IT TO THE FAA.
