Narrative:
Aircraft X was worked for ACARS modification using aircraft change order paperwork. In the process of installing the 2 antenna doublers for the antenna I was working the rivet gun on top of the aircraft fuselage skin. A technician was inside the cabin bucking the rivets. The rivet buck tails were bucked too flat. This caused the aircraft skin to couple and create damage. As the installation was completed on my shift, the shift inspector called the work ok. At about XA00 I installed the cover plates and sealed the edges. At shift change time, the other technician made turnover and left. I finished seams and clean-up and completed mechanic paperwork. Next shift inspection looked at doubler installation and called the doublers no good. A sheet metal repair was made, and was classed as aircraft damage due to doubler installation.
