Narrative:
When on final approach to runway 17C, I was cleared to land. When approximately by the OM I had a pitch trim 1 fail on EICAS. However, the pitch trim on the first officer's side was not working either I was on final and did not having too much time to run another checklist. I had good control of the airplane. I continued to the runway making a normal landing. At the gate, we called maintenance operations center and fixed the problem by resetting the circuit breaker. The airplane continued flying normally. The back-up trim was working normally. Also, I have seen pitch trim problems before, but the indication is only for a few seconds then disappears without failures.callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the embraer 145 has repetitive pitch trim failures and EICAS warnings that disappear after a few seconds. The reporter said, in this incident, the #1 system was inoperative and indicated as such with the EICAS warning. The reporter said the circuit breaker was found tripped and reset by maintenance.

THE RPTR SAID, IN THIS INCIDENT, THE #1 SYS WAS INOP AND INDICATED AS SUCH WITH THE EICAS WARNING. THE RPTR SAID THE CIRCUIT BREAKER WAS FOUND TRIPPED AND RESET BY MAINT.
