Narrative:
Flight X landed on runway 18R in cvg. While touching down, the tower controller told us to make either the high speed turn or taxiway K prior to runway 27. While I was calling 'green rev' approximately 1000 ft from runway 27, she cleared an air carrier Y CL65 crew for takeoff on runway 27 and an air carrier Z MD80 to land behind us on runway 18R. Before I could tell her that we were not approved to land and hold short or unable to make either turnoff, air carrier Y started to roll. When I finally got a word in to tell her unable to make either turnoff, our aircraft was 1/4 way on runway 27. She then told air carrier Y to abort their takeoff. I asked her then if she wanted a quick 180 degree turn or continue straight across runway 27 to taxi taxiway D4 then taxiway D. We were told to continue down runway 18R to taxiway D4 then taxiway D, hold short of runway 27. As far as I know, we cannot accept lahso or any other such clearance that defy the laws of physics to stop a body in motion.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: DURING LANDING ROLLOUT ON RWY 18R, A CL65 IS UNABLE TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 27 AT CVG AS REQUESTED. AS A RESULT, TWR CANCELLED TKOF CLRNC TO A CL65 WHICH HAD ALREADY INITIATED THEIR TAKEOFF ROLL.
Narrative: FLT X LANDED ON RWY 18R IN CVG. WHILE TOUCHING DOWN, THE TWR CTLR TOLD US TO MAKE EITHER THE HIGH SPD TURN OR TXWY K PRIOR TO RWY 27. WHILE I WAS CALLING 'GREEN REV' APPROX 1000 FT FROM RWY 27, SHE CLRED AN ACR Y CL65 CREW FOR TKOF ON RWY 27 AND AN ACR Z MD80 TO LAND BEHIND US ON RWY 18R. BEFORE I COULD TELL HER THAT WE WERE NOT APPROVED TO LAND AND HOLD SHORT OR UNABLE TO MAKE EITHER TURNOFF, ACR Y STARTED TO ROLL. WHEN I FINALLY GOT A WORD IN TO TELL HER UNABLE TO MAKE EITHER TURNOFF, OUR ACFT WAS 1/4 WAY ON RWY 27. SHE THEN TOLD ACR Y TO ABORT THEIR TKOF. I ASKED HER THEN IF SHE WANTED A QUICK 180 DEG TURN OR CONTINUE STRAIGHT ACROSS RWY 27 TO TAXI TXWY D4 THEN TXWY D. WE WERE TOLD TO CONTINUE DOWN RWY 18R TO TXWY D4 THEN TXWY D, HOLD SHORT OF RWY 27. AS FAR AS I KNOW, WE CANNOT ACCEPT LAHSO OR ANY OTHER SUCH CLRNC THAT DEFY THE LAWS OF PHYSICS TO STOP A BODY IN MOTION.
