Narrative:
On oct/sat/02, I performed a cockpit door modification per aircraft change order XXXX-xx and accompanying engineering authority/authorized y-yyy-yy without deviation from procedures listed on aircraft change order and engineering authority/authorized. After door modification was complete and no defects were noted associated with the installation of the door modification, aircraft was released for service in an airworthy condition. Aircraft returned to ZZZ due to sparking located at the top r-hand outboard corner of the door post assembly. Upon further investigation, it was found that the R1 galley power wiring was chaffing against the upper r-hand outboard corner of new door post assembly. I complied with the steps as instructed in aco XXXX-xx and ea y-yyy-yy. No instruction is given to inspect or relocate wiring for door post clearance. I feel that the mentioned aco and ea need further review.
