Narrative:
On final, tower advised us to hold short of runway 4L. I advised her we could not comply. She asked if we had advised approach control. On review, I advised her 'negative.' she told us to continue, slow to final approach, and shortly thereafter, cleared us to land. Normally, I advised approach although my understanding was the controllers know our B767's are not authority/authorized to hold short. This has been in effect throughout the B767 program.

Title: TWR IS REQUIRED TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS TO ACCOMMODATE A FLT WHEN THE CREW REFUSES THE LAHSO AT HNL.
Narrative: ON FINAL, TWR ADVISED US TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 4L. I ADVISED HER WE COULD NOT COMPLY. SHE ASKED IF WE HAD ADVISED APCH CTL. ON REVIEW, I ADVISED HER 'NEGATIVE.' SHE TOLD US TO CONTINUE, SLOW TO FINAL APCH, AND SHORTLY THEREAFTER, CLRED US TO LAND. NORMALLY, I ADVISED APCH ALTHOUGH MY UNDERSTANDING WAS THE CTLRS KNOW OUR B767'S ARE NOT AUTH TO HOLD SHORT. THIS HAS BEEN IN EFFECT THROUGHOUT THE B767 PROGRAM.
