Narrative:
The night of aug/sat/02, I was assigned to work aircraft nose number X. It had rained earlier that night and there was a slight drizzle. One of the items assigned to aircraft X was a priority one rechk or inspection of the tape, coming up a 6 inch portion of the seal that was missing or loose, on the r-hand wing to body fairing. I remember inspecting that tape and finding it in good condition. I remember the carry forward item stating to check the logbook for crew comment about noise at rows 9 and 10. I remember not seeing or reading that a 'dl' or 'MF' item had been assigned to monitor the carry forward item, as is customary. There was no crew comment in the logbook regarding noise from rows 9 and 10. At this stage, I signed off the carry forward item. We always sign off the 'dl' or 'MF' item, but since I do not recall seeing or reading one, I thought it in my best interest to sign off the carry forward item.
