Narrative:
On oct/tue/02, was contacted by a team leader that an investigation was under way to determine why a number of passenger oxygen masks did not deploy properly. This was noticed when all of the aircraft masks were deployed inadvertently, while the aircraft was going through a C17 maintenance visit. I signed off installation of masks in the center economy section of the B767 rows 1, 2, and 5 on apr/xa/00 while the aircraft was going through a C16B visit. I was informed by supervisor that numerous masks throughout the aircraft failed to deploy properly or were improperly packed. At the time I packed these masks, I'm sure I did so by maintenance manual and job card standards. I was asked numerous questions on procedures and qualifications. I was told by supervisor that I appeared to answer all questions properly and with the knowledge that I was doing the job properly.
