Narrative:
We were on a training event and returned to yip for a full stop landing. ATIS was reporting the active runways as 23L, 23R, and 32. We were the only airplane in the pattern. Tower cleared us to land. I heard and responded back 'cleared to land on 23R.' tower claims to have said 'cleared to land 32.' in any case, I was not corrected on my readback. I entered on right base for runway 23R and made a right turn to final runway 23R. I landed runway 23R and was told to taxi off on taxiway C. While taxiing off, the tower asked me what runway he cleared me to land on and I replayed runway 23R. That is when tower said, 'no, I cleared you for 32.' I was never told anything until after I had landed. Fortunately, no other traffic was in the area and no conflicts occurred. This situation could have been avoided if at any time during base or final tower had stated I was not flying what they wanted/cleared me for. I gave my apologies to the tower and it seems the matter was closed. I was never asked to call the tower. Taxied to the ramp without further discussion.

Title: A NO CONFLICT WRONG RWY LNDG WHEN THE CFI SINGLE PLT IN A C172 LANDS ON RWY 23R VS RWY 32 AT YIP, MI.
Narrative: WE WERE ON A TRAINING EVENT AND RETURNED TO YIP FOR A FULL STOP LNDG. ATIS WAS RPTING THE ACTIVE RWYS AS 23L, 23R, AND 32. WE WERE THE ONLY AIRPLANE IN THE PATTERN. TWR CLRED US TO LAND. I HEARD AND RESPONDED BACK 'CLRED TO LAND ON 23R.' TWR CLAIMS TO HAVE SAID 'CLRED TO LAND 32.' IN ANY CASE, I WAS NOT CORRECTED ON MY READBACK. I ENTERED ON R BASE FOR RWY 23R AND MADE A R TURN TO FINAL RWY 23R. I LANDED RWY 23R AND WAS TOLD TO TAXI OFF ON TXWY C. WHILE TAXIING OFF, THE TWR ASKED ME WHAT RWY HE CLRED ME TO LAND ON AND I REPLAYED RWY 23R. THAT IS WHEN TWR SAID, 'NO, I CLRED YOU FOR 32.' I WAS NEVER TOLD ANYTHING UNTIL AFTER I HAD LANDED. FORTUNATELY, NO OTHER TFC WAS IN THE AREA AND NO CONFLICTS OCCURRED. THIS SIT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF AT ANY TIME DURING BASE OR FINAL TWR HAD STATED I WAS NOT FLYING WHAT THEY WANTED/CLRED ME FOR. I GAVE MY APOLOGIES TO THE TWR AND IT SEEMS THE MATTER WAS CLOSED. I WAS NEVER ASKED TO CALL THE TWR. TAXIED TO THE RAMP WITHOUT FURTHER DISCUSSION.
