Narrative:
WX was 3000 ft overcast with good visibility. ATC told us to expect localizer 27 approach to san. We were heading 090 degrees at 5000 ft on a right downwind leg, 2 NM north of runway 27, and complying with an ATC issued 180 KT speed requirement. At 9 DME (from san localizer 27), ATC issued a descent to 4000 ft and a turn to 180 degree heading for base leg, and we complied. We began slowing the aircraft in order to comply with the company requirement to be configured for landing 3 mi before reaching the FAF (reebo at 6.4 DME and 2000 ft crossing altitude). Our confign requirement was in conflict with the 180 KT speed requirement issued by ATC crew duties and frequency congestion prevented us from notifying ATC of this conflict. As a result, ATC issued resequencing instructions to us. We performed the go around profile, staying within aircraft limitations, notified the flight attendant, and complied with ATC heading and altitude instructions.

Title: COMMUTER CREW WAS RESEQUENCED FOR LNDG AT SAN AFTER DEVIATING FROM ASSIGNED AIRSPD WITHOUT CLRNC.
Narrative: WX WAS 3000 FT OVCST WITH GOOD VISIBILITY. ATC TOLD US TO EXPECT LOC 27 APCH TO SAN. WE WERE HDG 090 DEGS AT 5000 FT ON A R DOWNWIND LEG, 2 NM N OF RWY 27, AND COMPLYING WITH AN ATC ISSUED 180 KT SPD REQUIREMENT. AT 9 DME (FROM SAN LOC 27), ATC ISSUED A DSCNT TO 4000 FT AND A TURN TO 180 DEG HDG FOR BASE LEG, AND WE COMPLIED. WE BEGAN SLOWING THE ACFT IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH THE COMPANY REQUIREMENT TO BE CONFIGURED FOR LNDG 3 MI BEFORE REACHING THE FAF (REEBO AT 6.4 DME AND 2000 FT XING ALT). OUR CONFIGN REQUIREMENT WAS IN CONFLICT WITH THE 180 KT SPD REQUIREMENT ISSUED BY ATC CREW DUTIES AND FREQ CONGESTION PREVENTED US FROM NOTIFYING ATC OF THIS CONFLICT. AS A RESULT, ATC ISSUED RESEQUENCING INSTRUCTIONS TO US. WE PERFORMED THE GAR PROFILE, STAYING WITHIN ACFT LIMITATIONS, NOTIFIED THE FLT ATTENDANT, AND COMPLIED WITH ATC HDG AND ALT INSTRUCTIONS.
