Narrative:

On oct/tue/02 I was issued a non routine written by technician foreman to replace S546. During removal of the lever arm of S546, much prying and pulling was required, after backing off the set screws that hold the arm in position on the switch shaft. Following replacement of the switch, we found instructions from the switch manufacturer (honeywell) that states 'caution -- do not pry on lever arm to remove. Use gear puller or damage to switch will occur.' we do not have this tool in stock, and the aircraft maintenance manual does not call for its use. This information was turned over to the supervisor to try and get gear pullers over to the supervisor to try and get gear pullers on order, and check into amm.
