Narrative:
ATIS indicates that the decision for utilizing either ILS Z or Y approachs for runway 18L at dfw is whether the construction crane is up or down. If this information is readily available, could it be included on the ATIS reports? Ie, crane is up or down. Air crews could then be 1 step further along in the approach briefing preparation phase.
