Narrative:
I was cleared by the tower to take off on runway 30. I incorrectly began my takeoff roll on runway 34, a closed runway. I aborted my takeoff roll when I realized my mistake. This mistake could have been avoided if I had referenced my directional gyro before beginning my takeoff roll.
