Narrative:

On approach to landing at ord for runway 4, tower told us twice to plan to roll to the end. On the landing rollout -- just as I took control of the aircraft from the first officer (it was her segment) -- and as we were rapidly approaching taxiway Q, ord tower told us now turnoff at taxiway Q. To do this would have taken maximum braking and full reverse thrust while at the same time having the passenger wondering what was happening. Needless to say, we continued past taxiway Q and proceeded to the end of the runway, exiting without delay. It would be great if ord tower would understand that unless it is an emergency, we should not be given changed instructions during a highspd rollout after landing.
