Narrative:
I have tried other avenues to relay this problem and was requested by my flight office to file a company report. We received a message from dispatch that read 'occasional severe turbulence between FL240 and FL370 from FOD to irk. Osw to 60 mi swict.obh.FOD....' we considered our options and asked dispatch if they would rather that we descend, go north or south. He recommended north and sent us a new message reading 'rod.FOD.onl.hec.' I requested this rerte from center. ZID's response was something like, 'air carrier X, do you hear how busy I am?' I responded 'yes.' he continued 'well, what makes you think I have time to work a rerte for you when I am busy with so many airplanes? I don't have time for this. You will have to get your clearance from someone down the line.' not wanting to excite this individual any further, I kept my mouth shut. This person had been 'joking' (as he called it) with another aircraft only moments before. I was wondering how he had time to joke with another aircraft, be belligerent to me, yet couldn't find the time to do his real job. It was embarrassing to us and unprofessional of him. I request the tape be listened to.

Narrative: I HAVE TRIED OTHER AVENUES TO RELAY THIS PROB AND WAS REQUESTED BY MY FLT OFFICE TO FILE A COMPANY RPT. HE CONTINUED 'WELL, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK I HAVE TIME TO WORK A RERTE FOR YOU WHEN I AM BUSY WITH SO MANY AIRPLANES? I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS. YOU WILL HAVE TO GET YOUR CLRNC FROM SOMEONE DOWN THE LINE.' NOT WANTING TO EXCITE THIS INDIVIDUAL ANY FURTHER, I KEPT MY MOUTH SHUT. THIS PERSON HAD BEEN 'JOKING' (AS HE CALLED IT) WITH ANOTHER ACFT ONLY MOMENTS BEFORE. I WAS WONDERING HOW HE HAD TIME TO JOKE WITH ANOTHER ACFT, BE BELLIGERENT TO ME, YET COULDN'T FIND THE TIME TO DO HIS REAL JOB. IT WAS EMBARRASSING TO US AND UNPROFESSIONAL OF HIM. I REQUEST THE TAPE BE LISTENED TO.
