Narrative:

Upon approach, I heard the landing gear warning sound from the cockpit. The warning 'landing gear' sounded approximately 4 times between 2500 ft to 1000 ft. The captain made a PA stating that there was an indicator that the nose gear had not gone down, and that they were going to cycle the gear and try the landing again, and not to worry. I then called the #2 and #4 flight attendants in back to tell them what I had heard and to make sure they heard the announcement and to be prepared. The gear went down and we landed safely. Upon arrival, there were no company representatives to meet us and no request of reports until this one.
