Narrative:
We were holding short of runway 5R for landing traffic. We were cleared to cross runway 5R, but there was an aircraft on the runway rolling out. So, we held short negating the crossing clearance. Then the tower controller said 'hold there' or something close to that. It was not a standard hold short clearance. Then he said to the GA aircraft on the runway that we would be behind him, when he turned off the runway at the taxiway prior to ours, I thought our cross clearance was still valid and we were giving way to him. I started to cross runway 5R, then saw another aircraft on a 2 mi final for runway 5R. I stopped the aircraft to keep the runway clear, but crossed the hold short line. We called tower to confirm permission to cross by saying that we are past the hold short line. Tower cleared us to cross. So, we cleared the runway on the other side. The other aircraft was on 1 mi final.

Title: A CL65 PIC HOLDS SHORT FOR LNDG TFC ON ROLL OUT ON RWY 5 AFTER BEING CLRED TO CROSS RWY 5, BUT THEN CROSSES HOLD LINE AFTER THE ROLLING TFC IS CLR WITH ANOTHER ACFT ON SHORT FINAL AT TYS, TN.
Narrative: WE WERE HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 5R FOR LNDG TFC. WE WERE CLRED TO CROSS RWY 5R, BUT THERE WAS AN ACFT ON THE RWY ROLLING OUT. SO, WE HELD SHORT NEGATING THE XING CLRNC. THEN THE TWR CTLR SAID 'HOLD THERE' OR SOMETHING CLOSE TO THAT. IT WAS NOT A STANDARD HOLD SHORT CLRNC. THEN HE SAID TO THE GA ACFT ON THE RWY THAT WE WOULD BE BEHIND HIM, WHEN HE TURNED OFF THE RWY AT THE TXWY PRIOR TO OURS, I THOUGHT OUR CROSS CLRNC WAS STILL VALID AND WE WERE GIVING WAY TO HIM. I STARTED TO CROSS RWY 5R, THEN SAW ANOTHER ACFT ON A 2 MI FINAL FOR RWY 5R. I STOPPED THE ACFT TO KEEP THE RWY CLR, BUT CROSSED THE HOLD SHORT LINE. WE CALLED TWR TO CONFIRM PERMISSION TO CROSS BY SAYING THAT WE ARE PAST THE HOLD SHORT LINE. TWR CLRED US TO CROSS. SO, WE CLRED THE RWY ON THE OTHER SIDE. THE OTHER ACFT WAS ON 1 MI FINAL.
