Narrative:
While on the byp.bypy arrival to dfw, prior to byp VOR we were instructed to 'keep the speed up, disregard speed at karla.' passing karla, we were told to 'begin slowing.' then we were told to 'maintain 280 KIAS.' I failed to question the speeds at subsequent fixes on the arrival. As we passed stonz, we were asked our airspeed, which was 280 KIAS. Approach pointed out that we should be at 210 KIAS over stonz. This airspeed deviation was a direct result of my not questioning approach when they had us fly airspeed different than published.

Title: SPD DEV, A DC9 FLT PASSES STONZ AT 280 KTS WHEN THE CHART CALLS FOR 210 KTS, NE OF DFW, TX.
Narrative: WHILE ON THE BYP.BYPY ARR TO DFW, PRIOR TO BYP VOR WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO 'KEEP THE SPD UP, DISREGARD SPD AT KARLA.' PASSING KARLA, WE WERE TOLD TO 'BEGIN SLOWING.' THEN WE WERE TOLD TO 'MAINTAIN 280 KIAS.' I FAILED TO QUESTION THE SPDS AT SUBSEQUENT FIXES ON THE ARR. AS WE PASSED STONZ, WE WERE ASKED OUR AIRSPD, WHICH WAS 280 KIAS. APCH POINTED OUT THAT WE SHOULD BE AT 210 KIAS OVER STONZ. THIS AIRSPD DEV WAS A DIRECT RESULT OF MY NOT QUESTIONING APCH WHEN THEY HAD US FLY AIRSPD DIFFERENT THAN PUBLISHED.
