Narrative:
Aircraft, a PA34-200, had dead battery at ldj. Jump started aircraft, contacted newark clearance on ground, but could not hear response. Departed VFR to the south, use of heater caused electrical failure (low current). Flew south with all avionics, except transponder, off. At a point I thought was clear of ny TCA, began climb to 7500 ft. Once at 7500 ft, turned northeast and overflew ny TCA. While I can't be sure, I believe my turn and climb may have been within the ny class B airspace, the outside air temperature was forecast at -28, and operating without the heater was not an option.
