Narrative:
I was informed by the captain that we were loosing fuel and needed to land. Advised that for safety, right engine needed to be shut off. Within 15 mins, we landed with 1 engine working. We did planned emergency checklist. Passenger were calm and very cooperative. Captain made clear PA before we started our checklist procedure. Passenger deplaned via jetbridge to terminal. We (crew) ferried the plane back to XXX. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated that the return flight to the departure airport was done as a maintenance ferry flight. Reporter also advised that the captain initially stated that the cabin crew would not return on the ferry flight, but then checked some paperwork and said that they could go on the flight. Reporter stated that the right engine was not shut down during the ferry flight. Supplemental information from acn 572118: big loss of fuel from right main tank (mysterious). No visible leakage. No fumes. Prepared cabin for a possible evacuate/evacuation. Landed at fsd without incident. Passenger deplaned at gate via jetbridge. Mechanics could not fix continuing fuel loss from right tank. We finally took off (flight attendants a little leary knowing the aircraft was not repaired).

Title: S80 MAKES EMER LNDG DUE TO FUEL LEAK.
Narrative: I WAS INFORMED BY THE CAPT THAT WE WERE LOOSING FUEL AND NEEDED TO LAND. ADVISED THAT FOR SAFETY, R ENG NEEDED TO BE SHUT OFF. WITHIN 15 MINS, WE LANDED WITH 1 ENG WORKING. WE DID PLANNED EMER CHKLIST. PAX WERE CALM AND VERY COOPERATIVE. CAPT MADE CLR PA BEFORE WE STARTED OUR CHKLIST PROC. PAX DEPLANED VIA JETBRIDGE TO TERMINAL. WE (CREW) FERRIED THE PLANE BACK TO XXX. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED THAT THE RETURN FLT TO THE DEP ARPT WAS DONE AS A MAINT FERRY FLT. RPTR ALSO ADVISED THAT THE CAPT INITIALLY STATED THAT THE CABIN CREW WOULD NOT RETURN ON THE FERRY FLT, BUT THEN CHKED SOME PAPERWORK AND SAID THAT THEY COULD GO ON THE FLT. RPTR STATED THAT THE R ENG WAS NOT SHUT DOWN DURING THE FERRY FLT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 572118: BIG LOSS OF FUEL FROM R MAIN TANK (MYSTERIOUS). NO VISIBLE LEAKAGE. NO FUMES. PREPARED CABIN FOR A POSSIBLE EVAC. LANDED AT FSD WITHOUT INCIDENT. PAX DEPLANED AT GATE VIA JETBRIDGE. MECHS COULD NOT FIX CONTINUING FUEL LOSS FROM R TANK. WE FINALLY TOOK OFF (FLT ATTENDANTS A LITTLE LEARY KNOWING THE ACFT WAS NOT REPAIRED).
