Narrative:
Pushed from gate at mke at XA35. Our taxi clearance was issued as taxiway B, taxiway a, taxiway east, to runway 19R. We questioned the clearance, as it was not the 'usual' route to runway 19R. The controller changed the clearance to taxiway G, taxiway east, runway 19R at taxiway V. I did not hear 'victor' -- later my first officer assured me it was issued. As we taxied north on taxiway east, approaching taxiway V, we were cleared for takeoff. I continued to taxi to the end of runway 19R. As I turned on taxiway F to take the runway, the tower controller advised me we had only been cleared to runway 19R at taxiway V, and we had crossed an active runway (runway 25R) without clearance. Fortunately, no conflict with other aircraft or equipment was causal. We continued the takeoff without further incident.

Title: DC9 FLT CREW HAS RWY INCURSION AT MKE.
Narrative: PUSHED FROM GATE AT MKE AT XA35. OUR TAXI CLRNC WAS ISSUED AS TXWY B, TXWY A, TXWY E, TO RWY 19R. WE QUESTIONED THE CLRNC, AS IT WAS NOT THE 'USUAL' RTE TO RWY 19R. THE CTLR CHANGED THE CLRNC TO TXWY G, TXWY E, RWY 19R AT TXWY V. I DID NOT HEAR 'VICTOR' -- LATER MY FO ASSURED ME IT WAS ISSUED. AS WE TAXIED N ON TXWY E, APCHING TXWY V, WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF. I CONTINUED TO TAXI TO THE END OF RWY 19R. AS I TURNED ON TXWY F TO TAKE THE RWY, THE TWR CTLR ADVISED ME WE HAD ONLY BEEN CLRED TO RWY 19R AT TXWY V, AND WE HAD CROSSED AN ACTIVE RWY (RWY 25R) WITHOUT CLRNC. FORTUNATELY, NO CONFLICT WITH OTHER ACFT OR EQUIP WAS CAUSAL. WE CONTINUED THE TKOF WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
