Narrative:
Our aircraft had several deferred MEL items on the fuel system. These were 28-02C- 28-10- 28-27B. We took off then returned to land after the left outer fuel tank quantity dropped rapidly on the ECAM fuel page and the fuel quantity gauge. My entry was deferred with MEL item 28-11B. Review of this item showed no conflict with any of our other deferred items. I accepted the aircraft and flew the leg. Further consideration and MEL review revealed that MEL item 28-11B did not fully address our discrepancy. Item 28-28C also applied -- since the ECAM fuel page quantity was also inaccurate. This item cannot be deferred in any combination with 28-02C and 28-10. I should not have flown the aircraft.

Title: AN AIRBUS 300 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH SEVERAL FUEL SYS DEFERRED ITEMS IN CONFLICT WITH THE MEL.
Narrative: OUR ACFT HAD SEVERAL DEFERRED MEL ITEMS ON THE FUEL SYS. THESE WERE 28-02C- 28-10- 28-27B. WE TOOK OFF THEN RETURNED TO LAND AFTER THE L OUTER FUEL TANK QUANTITY DROPPED RAPIDLY ON THE ECAM FUEL PAGE AND THE FUEL QUANTITY GAUGE. MY ENTRY WAS DEFERRED WITH MEL ITEM 28-11B. REVIEW OF THIS ITEM SHOWED NO CONFLICT WITH ANY OF OUR OTHER DEFERRED ITEMS. I ACCEPTED THE ACFT AND FLEW THE LEG. I SHOULD NOT HAVE FLOWN THE ACFT.
