Narrative:
While flying at FL330 at cruise power, we received an ECAM alert for engine #1 N2 vibration. The vibration varied, but increased to above the maximum limit of 7.5. We decreased power slightly with the #1 throttle and vibrations reduced to within limits, but still above normal. We were about 300 NM southeast of mia and elected to return per our operations manual. Return to base was uneventful, and we taxied to the gate unassisted.

Narrative: WHILE FLYING AT FL330 AT CRUISE PWR, WE RECEIVED AN ECAM ALERT FOR ENG #1 N2 VIBRATION. THE VIBRATION VARIED, BUT INCREASED TO ABOVE THE MAX LIMIT OF 7.5. WE DECREASED PWR SLIGHTLY WITH THE #1 THROTTLE AND VIBRATIONS REDUCED TO WITHIN LIMITS, BUT STILL ABOVE NORMAL. WE WERE ABOUT 300 NM SE OF MIA AND ELECTED TO RETURN PER OUR OPS MANUAL. RETURN TO BASE WAS UNEVENTFUL, AND WE TAXIED TO THE GATE UNASSISTED.
