Narrative:
Cleared for localizer 14, circle west to land on runway 32. IMC, icing conditions. Picked up moderate rime ice and could not talk with tower or approach. Got field in sight. Made calls in blind. Circled in wrong direction. Went east, due to icing on windshield, and poor visibility to west. After landing, contacted tower to tell why couldn't talk, due to ice buildup on antenna. They heard me, but I could not hear them. Tower said it was no problem, because I kept my circle in tight.
