Narrative:
Airlines operated maintenance ferry flight from ktys to kord. Required ferry permit due to the lavatory door jammed in the open position. Aircraft had cdl 32-1 main landing gear doors and cdl 32-2 main landing gear wheels fairing illegally issued by maintenance on feb/tue/03. This cdl combination is in violation of the following cdl limitation, which states 'no more than 1 part of any 1 system may be missing, unless specific combinations of parts are included in the cdl.' maintenance operation control should have never issued cdl 32-1 and 32-2. The aircraft flew scheduled revenue flts on feb/tue/wed/thu/03. Not only did maintenance operation control miss the cdl limitation, but many dispatchers and flight crews also failed to notice the illegal cdl combination. I also failed to notice the above limitation while preparing the release for flight. The cdl violation was discovered by another dispatcher on feb/fri/03. The aircraft was grounded in kord until repairs were made.
