Narrative:
I received taxi instructions to taxi to runway 30R. I had grown accustomed to hearing 'hold short runway 30R on taxiway G' and since the ground controller did not instruct me to hold short of the runway, I proceeded to taxi across the runway on my way to the other end. The controller informed me I just taxied across an active runway without permission. We actually discussed it and she gave me the reference in the aim. The discussion was very civil and obviously quite informative. There were no conflicts on the runway. This was certainly a good wake-up call -- a reminder of how easy it is to become complacent.

Title: BE58 AT CPS CROSSED RWY WITHOUT CLRNC.
Narrative: I RECEIVED TAXI INSTRUCTIONS TO TAXI TO RWY 30R. I HAD GROWN ACCUSTOMED TO HEARING 'HOLD SHORT RWY 30R ON TXWY G' AND SINCE THE GND CTLR DID NOT INSTRUCT ME TO HOLD SHORT OF THE RWY, I PROCEEDED TO TAXI ACROSS THE RWY ON MY WAY TO THE OTHER END. THE CTLR INFORMED ME I JUST TAXIED ACROSS AN ACTIVE RWY WITHOUT PERMISSION. WE ACTUALLY DISCUSSED IT AND SHE GAVE ME THE REF IN THE AIM. THE DISCUSSION WAS VERY CIVIL AND OBVIOUSLY QUITE INFORMATIVE. THERE WERE NO CONFLICTS ON THE RWY. THIS WAS CERTAINLY A GOOD WAKE-UP CALL -- A REMINDER OF HOW EASY IT IS TO BECOME COMPLACENT.
