Narrative:
Center gave crossing restr, 10 mi west of gqe at 10000 ft. Attempted to use spoilers and found them not working properly, pronounced right roll and binding. Crossing restr could not be made. Center was advised of inability to make altitude.

Title: DC10 CREW WAS UNABLE TO COMPLY WITH AN ATC ISSUED XING RESTR, BECAUSE OF MALFUNCTIONING SPOILER DEPLOYMENT.
Narrative: CTR GAVE XING RESTR, 10 MI W OF GQE AT 10000 FT. ATTEMPTED TO USE SPOILERS AND FOUND THEM NOT WORKING PROPERLY, PRONOUNCED R ROLL AND BINDING. XING RESTR COULD NOT BE MADE. CTR WAS ADVISED OF INABILITY TO MAKE ALT.
