Narrative:
Called ekn FSS for a standard briefing. Departed mrb, completed mission, returned to mrb 8 hours later. Normally, on mondays, the tower is closed. The tower was closed when I called in on the CTAF to land at mrb. Landed on runway 26, cleared the runway midfield and taxied in on taxiway a, which is the parallel taxiway to runway 26 and near the air national guard. 3 military vehicles pulled up, 1 in front of the airplane. I asked the crew member to exit the airplane and find out what they wanted. I was asked to shut down on the taxiway. I exited the airplane and was told by one of the military police to turn around. There were 9 military police with weapons out. I don't remember all the details. I was very upset being treated like a criminal. I was asked if I knew that taxiway a was closed. I said that I had called ekn FSS and they said nothing about taxiway a being closed. I walked on the taxiway, standing there for 45 mins. The commanding officer in charge came up and apologized saying, in his words, that he had contacted ekn FSS and that they had the NOTAM, but had not posted it, and let us go. I called ekn FSS with a make believe trip. Asked for a standard briefing, which I received. When I was ready to hang up I said, 'ah, by the way, do you have any information on taxiway a being closed?' he said 'stand by.' he came back and said 'yes, part of taxiway a was closed by the guard ramp.' again, I had not been told about a taxiway being closed until I asked for the information. My question is: how do I ask for information that I don't even know is there unless I use the code words? Give me the local NOTAMS! When I asked for a standard briefing, I should get all the required information to complete a safe flight. Believe me, the system needs to be changed.

Title: A PA31 PLT, RETURNING TO MRB FROM A PHOTO MISSION, WAS BLOCKED AND THEN DETAINED MY MIL POLICE WHILE TAXIING ON TXWY A.
Narrative: CALLED EKN FSS FOR A STANDARD BRIEFING. DEPARTED MRB, COMPLETED MISSION, RETURNED TO MRB 8 HRS LATER. NORMALLY, ON MONDAYS, THE TWR IS CLOSED. THE TWR WAS CLOSED WHEN I CALLED IN ON THE CTAF TO LAND AT MRB. LANDED ON RWY 26, CLRED THE RWY MIDFIELD AND TAXIED IN ON TXWY A, WHICH IS THE PARALLEL TXWY TO RWY 26 AND NEAR THE AIR NATL GUARD. 3 MIL VEHICLES PULLED UP, 1 IN FRONT OF THE AIRPLANE. I ASKED THE CREW MEMBER TO EXIT THE AIRPLANE AND FIND OUT WHAT THEY WANTED. I WAS ASKED TO SHUT DOWN ON THE TXWY. I EXITED THE AIRPLANE AND WAS TOLD BY ONE OF THE MIL POLICE TO TURN AROUND. THERE WERE 9 MIL POLICE WITH WEAPONS OUT. I DON'T REMEMBER ALL THE DETAILS. I WAS VERY UPSET BEING TREATED LIKE A CRIMINAL. I WAS ASKED IF I KNEW THAT TXWY A WAS CLOSED. I SAID THAT I HAD CALLED EKN FSS AND THEY SAID NOTHING ABOUT TXWY A BEING CLOSED. I WALKED ON THE TXWY, STANDING THERE FOR 45 MINS. WHEN I WAS READY TO HANG UP I SAID, 'AH, BY THE WAY, DO YOU HAVE ANY INFO ON TXWY A BEING CLOSED?' HE SAID 'STAND BY.' HE CAME BACK AND SAID 'YES, PART OF TXWY A WAS CLOSED BY THE GUARD RAMP.' AGAIN, I HAD NOT BEEN TOLD ABOUT A TXWY BEING CLOSED UNTIL I ASKED FOR THE INFO. MY QUESTION IS: HOW DO I ASK FOR INFO THAT I DON'T EVEN KNOW IS THERE UNLESS I USE THE CODE WORDS? GIVE ME THE LCL NOTAMS! WHEN I ASKED FOR A STANDARD BRIEFING, I SHOULD GET ALL THE REQUIRED INFO TO COMPLETE A SAFE FLT. BELIEVE ME, THE SYS NEEDS TO BE CHANGED.
