Narrative:
After a low visibility takeoff in blowing snow at cyyc, we flew to cos. Captain made his normal descent above redline with overspd warning circuit breaker pulled out. WX at cos rapidly went down. Approach to runway 17L not briefed. Within approximately 101 mi of FAF, speed was high, and I was calling out speed and distance. The captain reached over and put flaps to approach. A bit later, he asked for approach flaps, and I replied 'you want approach flaps at 260 KTS?' by now the aircraft was nearing the FAF, and speed is still high. Inside the FAF, I was calling out speed, gear, and landing flaps. Gear was not selected down until approximately 2 mi from runway. Captain said we're way too fast on this.' at minimums, I called 'mins go around.' captain continued descent with breakout occurring with the aircraft over the runway. Upon breakout at 170 KTS, lndgs flaps were selected. Prior to touchdown, the captain remarked 'we're floating.' I replied 'sure, we're floating, we're 140 KTS' (that's reference plus about 40). It is a very good thing cos has long runways.

Title: A CORPORATE C550 FO RPTED AN OVERSPEED LNDG AT COS.
Narrative: AFTER A LOW VISIBILITY TKOF IN BLOWING SNOW AT CYYC, WE FLEW TO COS. CAPT MADE HIS NORMAL DSCNT ABOVE REDLINE WITH OVERSPD WARNING CIRCUIT BREAKER PULLED OUT. WX AT COS RAPIDLY WENT DOWN. APCH TO RWY 17L NOT BRIEFED. WITHIN APPROX 101 MI OF FAF, SPD WAS HIGH, AND I WAS CALLING OUT SPD AND DISTANCE. THE CAPT REACHED OVER AND PUT FLAPS TO APCH. A BIT LATER, HE ASKED FOR APCH FLAPS, AND I REPLIED 'YOU WANT APCH FLAPS AT 260 KTS?' BY NOW THE ACFT WAS NEARING THE FAF, AND SPD IS STILL HIGH. INSIDE THE FAF, I WAS CALLING OUT SPD, GEAR, AND LNDG FLAPS. GEAR WAS NOT SELECTED DOWN UNTIL APPROX 2 MI FROM RWY. CAPT SAID WE'RE WAY TOO FAST ON THIS.' AT MINIMUMS, I CALLED 'MINS GO AROUND.' CAPT CONTINUED DSCNT WITH BREAKOUT OCCURRING WITH THE ACFT OVER THE RWY. UPON BREAKOUT AT 170 KTS, LNDGS FLAPS WERE SELECTED. PRIOR TO TOUCHDOWN, THE CAPT REMARKED 'WE'RE FLOATING.' I REPLIED 'SURE, WE'RE FLOATING, WE'RE 140 KTS' (THAT'S REF PLUS ABOUT 40). IT IS A VERY GOOD THING COS HAS LONG RWYS.
