Narrative:
Departed dyl VFR en route to isp climbing to 7500 MSL, called ny approach 132.8 17 miles southwest sbj was given squawk and advisories to isp. I had checked NOTAMS, no NOTAMS pertaining to ADIZ. I was not advised by ATC anything about the ADIZ. I called isp clearance for a VFR clearance back to dyl about XA30 local and was advised I needed to file a flight plan. I did so, and departed isp with a squawk and advisories. Controller working 135.9 advised me next controller was not taking the hand off 'squawk 1200 radar service terminated.' I did so, listened on 127.3 he was very busy. I returned to 135.9 and questioned the controller about being terminated inside the ADIZ, he said he forgot and to return to my old squawk. Advisories continued till I was outside the ADIZ.
