Narrative:
Was dispatched to ZZZ hospital to retrieve a medical team and child already there. When this situation arises the patient is in critical condition so all speed in transportation is required, thus we proceeded under lifeguard status. Also we have been at this hospital numerous times in the past so no reference to the local sectional chart was made. Landing at the hospital I was met by security and local police and was asked to talk to the FAA and ZZZ radar controllers about us landing at the hospital unannounced. Talking to the different agencies I realized we were 1 mi into newly established ADIZ, and unaware the 30 mi radius extended this far down. Realizing the mistake I filed a lifeguard flight plan and departed with the proper transponder code. When returning to home base I called ZZZ TRACON and apologized for the mistake and was informed by the on-duty supervisor this was a non event.
