Narrative:
On gate, engines shut down, parking checklist completed. Heard banging on cockpit door and bell to open door. Captain opened door. Ramp person yelled '#2 engine is on fire, get everybody off, #2 engine is on fire.' ran qrc evacuate/evacuation checklist and evacuate/evacuationed aircraft. Depressed #2 fire handle and fired left squib. First officer called ground and rolled fire trucks. Captain and first officer assessed condition. First officer, flight attendants, and customer service retrieved passenger belongings. No injuries. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the cause of the engine fire on the gate is unknown as maintenance has released no information to the flight crew. The reporter said the escape slides were used for the evacuate/evacuation and all worked except 1 slide which did not deploy. The reporter stated there were no injuries to passenger or crew. The reporter said during this event no fire or overheat warning was present in the cockpit.

Title: AN AIRBUS 320 PARKED ON A GATE WAS ALERTED BY GND PERSONNEL OF #2 ENG ON FIRE. ACFT EVACED AND FIRE BOTTLES DISCHARGED. CAUSE UNKNOWN.
Narrative: ON GATE, ENGS SHUT DOWN, PARKING CHKLIST COMPLETED. HEARD BANGING ON COCKPIT DOOR AND BELL TO OPEN DOOR. CAPT OPENED DOOR. RAMP PERSON YELLED '#2 ENG IS ON FIRE, GET EVERYBODY OFF, #2 ENG IS ON FIRE.' RAN QRC EVAC CHKLIST AND EVACED ACFT. DEPRESSED #2 FIRE HANDLE AND FIRED L SQUIB. FO CALLED GND AND ROLLED FIRE TRUCKS. CAPT AND FO ASSESSED CONDITION. FO, FLT ATTENDANTS, AND CUSTOMER SVC RETRIEVED PAX BELONGINGS. NO INJURIES. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE CAUSE OF THE ENG FIRE ON THE GATE IS UNKNOWN AS MAINT HAS RELEASED NO INFO TO THE FLT CREW. THE RPTR SAID THE ESCAPE SLIDES WERE USED FOR THE EVAC AND ALL WORKED EXCEPT 1 SLIDE WHICH DID NOT DEPLOY. THE RPTR STATED THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO PAX OR CREW. THE RPTR SAID DURING THIS EVENT NO FIRE OR OVERHEAT WARNING WAS PRESENT IN THE COCKPIT.
