Narrative:
We were on the sayge 4 arrival into apa in denver, co. We were on a radar vector from ZDV after sayge intersection of 220 degrees. We were instructed to turn to 180 degrees, and descend from 11000 ft to 9000 ft. Halfway through the turn, we received a TCASII 'TA,' immediately followed by an 'RA' to climb. We started the climb, and rolled out of the turn when we saw the other aircraft. ZDV told us to, 'descend immediately,' but we followed the TCASII instructions, and the copilot replied, 'negative, TCASII climb.' after the incident, ZDV reclred us to 9000 ft, and a heading of 180 degrees. We were on ZDV frequency, 128.25. During the incident, there was a change in controller voices, from a female to a male voice.
