Narrative:

Unstabilized approach. Moderate turbulence during arrival, LLWS/microburst advisories in effect, but wind 290 degrees, 13 KTS. Captain, PF, got a little too high/fast and attempted to salvage approach resulting in 25 KTS over target and landing 1500 ft beyond landing zone. Engines were spooled, landing confign, but rate of descent/speed too high. Rate of descent varied from 500 FPM to 1200 FPM, but no GPWS warnings. Otherwise uneventful landing, but captain too preoccupied with getting aircraft on ground and violated stabilized approach criteria.

Title: AN A320 FLT CREW EXPERIENCES TURB ON APCH, AND LANDS THE ACFT FROM AN UNSTABILIZED APCH.

Narrative: UNSTABILIZED APCH. MODERATE TURB DURING ARR, LLWS/MICROBURST ADVISORIES IN EFFECT, BUT WIND 290 DEGS, 13 KTS. CAPT, PF, GOT A LITTLE TOO HIGH/FAST AND ATTEMPTED TO SALVAGE APCH RESULTING IN 25 KTS OVER TARGET AND LNDG 1500 FT BEYOND LNDG ZONE. ENGS WERE SPOOLED, LNDG CONFIGN, BUT RATE OF DSCNT/SPD TOO HIGH. RATE OF DSCNT VARIED FROM 500 FPM TO 1200 FPM, BUT NO GPWS WARNINGS. OTHERWISE UNEVENTFUL LNDG, BUT CAPT TOO PREOCCUPIED WITH GETTING ACFT ON GND AND VIOLATED STABILIZED APCH CRITERIA.
