Narrative:
I was ferrying a mooney 201 from tki to sdl. We did not have current IFR charts onboard so we decided to fly with our current world aeronautical charts. WX was clear all the way so we decided to fly VOR to VOR and not to get a flight briefing from FSS. This was my mistake as I failed to realize there was a temporary flight restr in my path. The WAC chart I was using did not illustrate the fact that there were possible tfr's in the area. Next time I will check NOTAMS and file a flight plan.
