Narrative:
Secondary climb to FL330, automatic fail illuminated and pressurization system went to standby. Irregular procedure performed for automatic fail light on, followed by cabin altitude warning, then initiated emergency descent from the qrc. Diverted to msp and normal landing, no injuries or other problems. Flight attendants notified, dispatch and maintenance were contacted. Masks did not drop in the cabin.

Title: A B737-500 FLTCREW PERFORMS AN EMER DSCNT AFTER LOSING CABIN PRESSURE AND DIVERT TO MSP, MN.
Narrative: SECONDARY CLB TO FL330, AUTO FAIL ILLUMINATED AND PRESSURIZATION SYS WENT TO STANDBY. IRREGULAR PROC PERFORMED FOR AUTO FAIL LIGHT ON, FOLLOWED BY CABIN ALT WARNING, THEN INITIATED EMER DSCNT FROM THE QRC. DIVERTED TO MSP AND NORMAL LNDG, NO INJURIES OR OTHER PROBS. FLT ATTENDANTS NOTIFIED, DISPATCH AND MAINT WERE CONTACTED. MASKS DID NOT DROP IN THE CABIN.
