Narrative:
The filed route from ama to dal was 'ama heatr GREGS5 dal.' there is no ama VOR and the 200 series aircraft is not able to fly RNAV direct to heatr intersection. The dispatcher was contacted prior to departure with my concerns and his only answer was '200 aircraft do this every day.' this route should be changed immediately for all -200 aircraft so that it may be flown legally. Example: pnh GREGS5 dal.
