Narrative:
Out of 10000 ft, L2 flight attendant called cockpit to tell us that the L2 door was not closed properly and air was rushing into the cabin. We checked pressure control panel to find that the aircraft was not pressurizing at the normal schedule. Cabin was at about 4000 ft at the time. The L2 door warning light was also on at this time. We descended to 10000 ft and turned back for landing at ZZZ. During descent, the L2 door warning light went out at about cabin pressure of 3000 ft. Normal, underwt landing was accomplished. The door warning lights were checked several times prior to flight and were out. Previous write-up from day before by another crew as aircraft taxied out in ZZ1 found door not closed properly and the door warning light was out in this situation also. ZZZ maintenance also verified that the door warning light would be out in the situation that he found the door in on our arrival at the gate in ZZZ.
