Narrative:
One of my international students misunderstood the clearance for IFR flight from tan to ewb. Since tan was uncontrolled airport, my student was trying to receive clearance over the phone from bridgeport clearance. After my student received clearance, person over bridgeport asked if 2 mins void time was enough to take off or not. But my student thought he had to depart in 2 mins and hung up the phone. And I was not on the phone nor on speaker, so we took off in 2 mins void time. Right after we took off, bridgeport called airport to see if we still were there and to confirm my student understood whole instructions, but we were not. So bridgeport called providence approach to protect airspace in taunton area for 2 mins. When we came back to tan, I talked to bridgeport clearance and apologized for miscom between my student and briefer.
