Narrative:
At the time of our arrival to ord, ATIS advised of land and hold short operations being conducted. ATIS also advised to inform approach control and tower if unable to accept lahso. Approach control was very busy with inbound aircraft. I made 3 attempts to contact approach control before they acknowledged. I forgot to advise approach control we were unable to accept lahso due to flight manual prohibition for runway 9R. We contacted tower on 5 mi final and they advised us to hold short taxiway south at far end of runway 9R. We accepted this landing clearance and made an uneventful landing on runway 9R. Although, the landing was routine with no other aircraft on or close to our runway 9R, I did accept the clearance, forgetting to advise approach control and tower that we were unable to lahso. In the future, I will be more alert about lahso clrncs, especially during heavy traffic and degraded controller/pilot communications.

Title: AN A320 PIC FORGETS TO ADVISE ATC THAT THEY ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT ANY LAHSO ASSIGNMENT WHEN PLANNING AN APCH AND LNDG TO RWY 9R AT ORD, IL.
Narrative: AT THE TIME OF OUR ARR TO ORD, ATIS ADVISED OF LAND AND HOLD SHORT OPS BEING CONDUCTED. ATIS ALSO ADVISED TO INFORM APCH CTL AND TWR IF UNABLE TO ACCEPT LAHSO. APCH CTL WAS VERY BUSY WITH INBOUND ACFT. I MADE 3 ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT APCH CTL BEFORE THEY ACKNOWLEDGED. I FORGOT TO ADVISE APCH CTL WE WERE UNABLE TO ACCEPT LAHSO DUE TO FLT MANUAL PROHIBITION FOR RWY 9R. WE CONTACTED TWR ON 5 MI FINAL AND THEY ADVISED US TO HOLD SHORT TXWY S AT FAR END OF RWY 9R. WE ACCEPTED THIS LNDG CLRNC AND MADE AN UNEVENTFUL LNDG ON RWY 9R. ALTHOUGH, THE LNDG WAS ROUTINE WITH NO OTHER ACFT ON OR CLOSE TO OUR RWY 9R, I DID ACCEPT THE CLRNC, FORGETTING TO ADVISE APCH CTL AND TWR THAT WE WERE UNABLE TO LAHSO. IN THE FUTURE, I WILL BE MORE ALERT ABOUT LAHSO CLRNCS, ESPECIALLY DURING HVY TFC AND DEGRADED CTLR/PLT COMS.
