Narrative:
I intended to land at 1s0 for fuel. I entered on a 45 degrees and announced my intent to go left downwind. When I was about to turn base I announced my intent. The other pilot came on and said 'you had better look out your window.' above me and to the ___________ left side was a tail dragger that I had not seen on downwind. I told him that I had the traffic. I then asked if he was in the pattern. I got no response. I assumed he was passing through and proceeded downwind until I could make my base turn clear of the flight path. As I made my turn and passed in front of him he became very agitated and was harassing on the radio for some time. A) if he had said he was in the pattern I would have extended my downwind. B) my plane does downwind at about 100 mph, I estimate his speed at about 70 KTS should I have slowed down or done a 360 degrees? He was inside of me. C) I do not think I created a safety problem but the other pilot sure came unglued. Road/air rage?

Title: 2 GA PLTS GET INTO A MISUNDERSTANDING AS TO WHO IS #1 FOR TURNING BASE IN THE TFC PATTERN AT 1SO, WA.
Narrative: I INTENDED TO LAND AT 1S0 FOR FUEL. I ENTERED ON A 45 DEGS AND ANNOUNCED MY INTENT TO GO L DOWNWIND. WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO TURN BASE I ANNOUNCED MY INTENT. THE OTHER PLT CAME ON AND SAID 'YOU HAD BETTER LOOK OUT YOUR WINDOW.' ABOVE ME AND TO THE ___________ L SIDE WAS A TAIL DRAGGER THAT I HAD NOT SEEN ON DOWNWIND. I TOLD HIM THAT I HAD THE TFC. I THEN ASKED IF HE WAS IN THE PATTERN. I GOT NO RESPONSE. I ASSUMED HE WAS PASSING THROUGH AND PROCEEDED DOWNWIND UNTIL I COULD MAKE MY BASE TURN CLR OF THE FLT PATH. AS I MADE MY TURN AND PASSED IN FRONT OF HIM HE BECAME VERY AGITATED AND WAS HARASSING ON THE RADIO FOR SOME TIME. A) IF HE HAD SAID HE WAS IN THE PATTERN I WOULD HAVE EXTENDED MY DOWNWIND. B) MY PLANE DOES DOWNWIND AT ABOUT 100 MPH, I ESTIMATE HIS SPD AT ABOUT 70 KTS SHOULD I HAVE SLOWED DOWN OR DONE A 360 DEGS? HE WAS INSIDE OF ME. C) I DO NOT THINK I CREATED A SAFETY PROB BUT THE OTHER PLT SURE CAME UNGLUED. ROAD/AIR RAGE?
