Narrative:

This incident occurred, because my head was buried in my rectal cavity. I cleared runway 20L at typical company speed (fast) and was still decelerating turning onto taxiway H at taxiway H2, resulting in our crossing the hold short line for runway 31 approach path protected area. Ground control then instructed us to expedite through the protected area and into our gate. Crossing the bridge into the ramp at taxiway J, I observed a king air touching down on runway 31. Company operational practices contribute to these events, because we routinely taxi without further clearance rather than bringing the aircraft to a complete stop and waiting for further instructions. The physical layout of bna runway 20L contributes, because runway 31 is rarely used and the runway complex itself is isolated from the rest of the airport. ATC contributed, because no instruction was issued to hold short of runway 31 approach path.

Title: B737 FLT CREW HAS RWY INCURSION AT BNA.

Narrative: THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED, BECAUSE MY HEAD WAS BURIED IN MY RECTAL CAVITY. I CLRED RWY 20L AT TYPICAL COMPANY SPD (FAST) AND WAS STILL DECELERATING TURNING ONTO TXWY H AT TXWY H2, RESULTING IN OUR XING THE HOLD SHORT LINE FOR RWY 31 APCH PATH PROTECTED AREA. GND CTL THEN INSTRUCTED US TO EXPEDITE THROUGH THE PROTECTED AREA AND INTO OUR GATE. XING THE BRIDGE INTO THE RAMP AT TXWY J, I OBSERVED A KING AIR TOUCHING DOWN ON RWY 31. COMPANY OPERATIONAL PRACTICES CONTRIBUTE TO THESE EVENTS, BECAUSE WE ROUTINELY TAXI WITHOUT FURTHER CLRNC RATHER THAN BRINGING THE ACFT TO A COMPLETE STOP AND WAITING FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS. THE PHYSICAL LAYOUT OF BNA RWY 20L CONTRIBUTES, BECAUSE RWY 31 IS RARELY USED AND THE RWY COMPLEX ITSELF IS ISOLATED FROM THE REST OF THE ARPT. ATC CONTRIBUTED, BECAUSE NO INSTRUCTION WAS ISSUED TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 31 APCH PATH.
