Narrative:

I was on an instrument approach to runway 28 in VMC, late afternoon, haze, very poor visibility into the sun. I had called traffic 1 mi ahead, not in contact. Paying more attention to finding the traffic than following the GS, I ended up way too high. Traffic was changed to parallel runway and I went ahead with a landing that should have been aborted. This resulted in porpoising and overrunning the runway to a dirt area. When parked, I discovered a propeller hit on the left side.
