Narrative:
I crossed an active runway thinking I had been cleared to do so, when in fact, I had not. The tower had just opened at XA00. I was listening to ATIS and requesting my clearance on clearance delivery at the same time. The tower controller was working tower, ground and clearance. I missed on the ATIS that the departure runway was runway 15. Thought I heard that they were approaching with ILS runway 24. After requesting my clearance, I asked for permission to taxi to the active. I thought he cleared me to do so. I crossed runway 15/33, the departing runway en route to runway 24. When the controller looked up from what he was doing, he got very upset and proclaimed he hadn't cleared me to taxi and runway 24 wasn't the active runway. Problems: 1) I was trying to do 2 things at once (clearance and ATIS), 2) controller was working 3 frequencys, 3) there was a lot of frequency congestion, so crucial information got stepped on or was blocked. Solution: slow down and do one thing at a time.

Narrative: I CROSSED AN ACTIVE RWY THINKING I HAD BEEN CLRED TO DO SO, WHEN IN FACT, I HAD NOT. THE TWR HAD JUST OPENED AT XA00. I WAS LISTENING TO ATIS AND REQUESTING MY CLRNC ON CLRNC DELIVERY AT THE SAME TIME. THE TWR CTLR WAS WORKING TWR, GND AND CLRNC. I MISSED ON THE ATIS THAT THE DEP RWY WAS RWY 15. THOUGHT I HEARD THAT THEY WERE APCHING WITH ILS RWY 24. AFTER REQUESTING MY CLRNC, I ASKED FOR PERMISSION TO TAXI TO THE ACTIVE. I THOUGHT HE CLRED ME TO DO SO. I CROSSED RWY 15/33, THE DEPARTING RWY ENRTE TO RWY 24. WHEN THE CTLR LOOKED UP FROM WHAT HE WAS DOING, HE GOT VERY UPSET AND PROCLAIMED HE HADN'T CLRED ME TO TAXI AND RWY 24 WASN'T THE ACTIVE RWY. PROBS: 1) I WAS TRYING TO DO 2 THINGS AT ONCE (CLRNC AND ATIS), 2) CTLR WAS WORKING 3 FREQS, 3) THERE WAS A LOT OF FREQ CONGESTION, SO CRUCIAL INFO GOT STEPPED ON OR WAS BLOCKED.
