Narrative:
I failed to switch from clearance delivery to ground control and proceeded down the ramp to runway 28L without contacting ground control. They called me on clearance delivery frequency and idented me. I then went to the run-up area. They then cleared me for takeoff. I also failed to set the transponder to the squawk number and the controller had to remind me. They gave me 180 degree heading and I proceeded on that heading until they told me to head for lhq at 140 degrees. They then asked me to go to 1200 squawk. I landed at lhq and put the aircraft in the hangar.

Title: A SMALL ACFT PLT LEAVING CLASS C CMH FAILED TO INITIALLY CONTACT GND CTL AND THEN FAILED TO SQUAWK THE ASSIGNED TRANSPONDER CODE.
Narrative: I FAILED TO SWITCH FROM CLRNC DELIVERY TO GND CTL AND PROCEEDED DOWN THE RAMP TO RWY 28L WITHOUT CONTACTING GND CTL. THEY CALLED ME ON CLRNC DELIVERY FREQ AND IDENTED ME. I THEN WENT TO THE RUN-UP AREA. THEY THEN CLRED ME FOR TKOF. I ALSO FAILED TO SET THE XPONDER TO THE SQUAWK NUMBER AND THE CTLR HAD TO REMIND ME. THEY GAVE ME 180 DEG HDG AND I PROCEEDED ON THAT HEADING UNTIL THEY TOLD ME TO HEAD FOR LHQ AT 140 DEGS. THEY THEN ASKED ME TO GO TO 1200 SQUAWK. I LANDED AT LHQ AND PUT THE ACFT IN THE HANGAR.
