Narrative:
I departed out of manasas, va (hef) on a training flight. I was under instruction, flying in the left seat, with the instructor sitting in the right seat. I was in simulated IMC conditions using a hood as a view restricting device. We departed the washington ADIZ under an ADIZ flight plan. After departure from the ADIZ, we cancelled our flight plan, changed to local frequencys, and continued the flight VFR, without ATC control. The instructor advised that we would be executing multiple approachs at multiple airports and that he would act as ATC, providing me with vectors and instructions. He advised me to fly the full fdk ILS runway 23 approach, starting from EMI as my IAF. About 12-13 mi wnw of EMI, as I was turning from the 293 degree radial off EMI to intercept the ILS course inbound to fdk, we were intercepted by a military helicopter. The instructor spotted the helicopter first and told me to remove my hood and go visual. We turned away from the helicopter (to the south) and immediately went and made a visual approach and landing at fdk. The helicopter did not pursue us. Once on the ground at fdk, unicom advised us to come in to the ramp and park. My instructor spoke to the desk attendant at the FBO and she gave him a phone number to call. He did not share with me who he was calling and he made the call in private. After he completed the call, he advised me that they told him we penetrated P-40, which is the prohibited airspace surrounding camp david.

Title: A PA44 TRAINING FLT AT 3000 FT IS INTERCEPTED BY A MIL HELI NW OF EMI VORTAC. AFTER LNDG AT FDK INSTRUCTOR PLT IS ADVISED THAT THE FLT PENETRATED THE P-40 PROHIBITED AREA NW OF EMI, MD.
Narrative: I DEPARTED OUT OF MANASAS, VA (HEF) ON A TRAINING FLT. I WAS UNDER INSTRUCTION, FLYING IN THE L SEAT, WITH THE INSTRUCTOR SITTING IN THE R SEAT. I WAS IN SIMULATED IMC CONDITIONS USING A HOOD AS A VIEW RESTRICTING DEVICE. WE DEPARTED THE WASHINGTON ADIZ UNDER AN ADIZ FLT PLAN. AFTER DEP FROM THE ADIZ, WE CANCELLED OUR FLT PLAN, CHANGED TO LCL FREQS, AND CONTINUED THE FLT VFR, WITHOUT ATC CTL. THE INSTRUCTOR ADVISED THAT WE WOULD BE EXECUTING MULTIPLE APCHS AT MULTIPLE ARPTS AND THAT HE WOULD ACT AS ATC, PROVIDING ME WITH VECTORS AND INSTRUCTIONS. HE ADVISED ME TO FLY THE FULL FDK ILS RWY 23 APCH, STARTING FROM EMI AS MY IAF. ABOUT 12-13 MI WNW OF EMI, AS I WAS TURNING FROM THE 293 DEG RADIAL OFF EMI TO INTERCEPT THE ILS COURSE INBOUND TO FDK, WE WERE INTERCEPTED BY A MIL HELI. THE INSTRUCTOR SPOTTED THE HELI FIRST AND TOLD ME TO REMOVE MY HOOD AND GO VISUAL. WE TURNED AWAY FROM THE HELI (TO THE S) AND IMMEDIATELY WENT AND MADE A VISUAL APCH AND LNDG AT FDK. THE HELI DID NOT PURSUE US. ONCE ON THE GND AT FDK, UNICOM ADVISED US TO COME IN TO THE RAMP AND PARK. MY INSTRUCTOR SPOKE TO THE DESK ATTENDANT AT THE FBO AND SHE GAVE HIM A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL. HE DID NOT SHARE WITH ME WHO HE WAS CALLING AND HE MADE THE CALL IN PVT. AFTER HE COMPLETED THE CALL, HE ADVISED ME THAT THEY TOLD HIM WE PENETRATED P-40, WHICH IS THE PROHIBITED AIRSPACE SURROUNDING CAMP DAVID.
